In September, GAISF announced the formal appointment of sportcentric as its Official Technology Partner. sportcentric is a leading provider of websites and other online software applications to international and national sports organisations.

The partnership is intended to benefit directly GAISF and its members through an ongoing development programme, including the GAISF website, an Intranet for GAISF and its members, and a number of online collaboration tools, including a new Document Management System, and online workspaces for GAISF Working Groups.

Phase 1 - The GAISF Website

sportcentric redesigned and rebuilt the GAISF website www.agfisonline.com on the sportcentric site Management System, giving GAISF direct control over all aspects of the site's structure and content for the first time.

Phase 2 - The GAISF Intranet

GAISF will shortly launch a new Intranet system to its members, developed and managed by sportcentric.

The Extranet gives each International Federation  a web interface to:

• update directly its own event data in the Official AGFIS and International Federation Calendar
• update directly the International Federation profile page within AGFIS' online Member Directory
• submit news, results, press releases and 'IF Notes' for publication on the AGFIS website (subject to approval by AGFIS)

Calendar data entered or amended through the web interface will appear instantaneously on the AGFIS Calendar, and within 24 hours on the IOC and ASOIF calendars that are fed by the AGFIS calendar.

Profile changes entered through the web interface will appear instantaneously on the AGFIS website.

News, results, press releases and 'IF Notes' submitted through the web interface will appear on the AGFIS website if and when approved by AGFIS

AGFIS is also offering each IF a version of the Calendar for its own website, free of charge, so that event data needs only to be entered or amended once, and both the IF and AGFIS calendars will be updated instantaneously.

In addition sportcentric, AGFIS Official Technology Partner and the system's technical developer, is able, on a fee-paying basis, to extend the individual IF Calendars, for example to allow for sub-categories of discipline or event, or to integrate pre-event information or post-event results.

The Extranet will be extended in the next few weeks to include direct submission to the AGFIS website of:

• Tender opportunities
