The Magic of Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium is the national sporting stadium of England and the second largest sporting stadium in Europe. It features a large sliding roof that can protect the crowd from the elements without completely closing the venue. There were a number of challenges with the construction of the stadium, with numerous delays and a budget that exceeded expectations greatly. However, the English public now have access to one of the best and biggest stadiums in the entire world, which they can enjoy while watching football games and attending international concerts.

There are some interesting statistics associated with the magnificent Wembley Stadium, which has more toilets than any other venue in the world at 2.618, a circumference of 1 kilometre, and a total of 400 metres of escalators. Some of the famous events that have taken place at Wembley include the annual FA Cup final, the 2007 and 2008 Race of Champions, and games of American Football. In terms of music concerts, some of the memorable acts that have visited this great stadium include Muse, Metallica, AC/DC, Take That, U2, Coldplay, Green Day, and Madonna. A number of future concerts and sporting events are also planned, including a number of concerts by Take That and the continued association with the England Football Team.
